My logic says its 2, but it never hurts to confirm.

Our system is running on Ibm i series(OS400/DB2). We developed a new program and tcode coppied from ME55(yme55) to do collective PR Release. Now we are getting ABAP dumps sometimes while use this tcode. Dump text is
Database error text........: "Resource limit exceeded. MSGID=
Job=104421/PVT00/WP02"
Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/OPEN/EBAN ]"
Always showing above error but with different different WP.
But this dump is not coming every time while executing yme55.
Can you please help me to resolve it?

As you already know i am very new to this platform.
I currently have an issue with a system that altough its "up" i cannot logon due to syntax errors, so, i open an OSS message and they asked me to view the contents of DDXTT table.
I'm loged in as <SID>adm user and when i try to connect using "db2 connect to <SID>" i get error 0403-006 Execute permission denied. It is ok to try to connect while loged in as <SID>adm user or should i log to AS/400 with another user?
Sorry if this seem an dumb question but i am pretty clueless.

I keep on getting this error in the SLOG when trying to apply SAPKB64019.

I have applied SAPKB64017 and 18 without any problems.
On the actual GUI SPAM sits on phase "tp user check OK" and after about 3 hours crashes . I have tried restarting it (signing off and on) I am the only person signed on to the server.

Here i am again, the uber newbie on IBM i lol 
After i upgraded Kernel from 701 PL150 to 721 PL 417 on DEV and QAS systems on IBM i V6R1, CL from QSTRUP/QGPL stopped working. What i saw is that after the upgrade the subsystem name of SAP systems changed from R3_<SNR> to SAP<SNR><SID> Is this normal behaviour? Is there a note that explains this change in the subsystem name?
SNR= System number
DEV and QAS Startup old mandate is SAP<SID>69/STARTSAP SID(SID) INSTANCE(*ALL) DLTSPLF(*YES)
Any ideas?

Customer wants to do a rollback prior to Kernel and Support Package Update but without affecting Kernel version.
Questions:
Is this possible?
What does this imply on manual work prior/after the restore?
What are the considerations?
It is kind urgent...

Hello,
we use the strrcvjrn from the R3TOOLS Libary. Now we have a new Tapelibary and we need to change this for the rcvjrn Job. We cant find the parameter to change. Change of DTAARA "DEV" in the R3TOOLS didn't help.
Our BRMS Jobs are all running fine after chenging the policys to the new Tapelibary.

We are in a project in which we have to Upgrade Kernel from 7.00 to 7.20_EXT over AS400 7.1
First IBM Support prepare a host with a Copy of Production (Sandbox) in which they upgrade AS400 from V5R4 to V7R1 and install al PTF. Afterwards we Upgrade Kernel from 7.00 to 7.20 EXT p700 UC. Everyhing worked fine in that host, SAP is working without any problem.
Host DEV/QAS
Last Friday IBM Support upgrade AS400 from v5.4 to v7.1 plus applied al PTFs on host DEV/QAS. Then on Saturday we started to work in the Kernel Upgrade.
The Kernel Upgrade process was executed without any incident. SAP Instances DEV and QAS are ONLINE with Kernel 720_EXT sp 700 UC.
But when starting a SAP GUI Session there is an error RABAX.
I copy a part of the dev_w1 log file whic reflects the error ERROR => SQL-Error -204 in function db_open and then the error
ERROR => dbdynpdb2: dbdd_dbtab_columns (DYNPSOURCE) failed with rc = 4 [dbdynpdb2.c 2506]

Could you please guide on the way to tune the profile parameter dbs/db4/dbsl_buffersize; i.e. how to decide whether the default value : 131072 is not sufficient, and thus it needs to be increased.
The goal is to further ameliorate the performance of the database I/O

Hi just wanted to let everyone know we are having a problem with V7R2. Looks like it might be a PTF issue - IBM development (PMR 53545,7TD,000) and SAP (272208 / 2015 ) are working on the issue.
We are having an issue with performance running program RVAUFSTA and also
doing a couple home grown programs .
They appear to be the same kind of problem with the loop counter

There is a statement IF DA_COUNT EQ 100 – If we change it to IF DA_COUNT EQ 25 the program run in minutes compared to hours.

We realized the problem was caused due to termination of EHPI gui(Staging server reboot).
Now as we trying to start it again we are facing above issus.

Description: In this phase, an error can occur when you have incorrectly tried to reset the enhancement package installation. This results in an inconistent state in the system and a failure in phase VALCHK_INI when you start the installation program again.
If you were in one of the preparation roadmap steps when you tried to reset the installation, proceed as follows:
Procedure for UNIX and Windows:
1. Change to the EHPI/abap/bin directory (Windows: EHPI\abap\bin)
2. Enter the following command:
./SAPehpi reset prepare (Windows: .\SAPehpi. exe reset prepare)
3. Delete the EHPI directory.
4. Start SAPehpi again.
Procedure for IBM i:
1. Start Qshell by entering the command QSH.
2. Enter the following commands:
cd <base directory>/EHPI/abap/bin
export LIBPATH=.

and the recommendation they gave us is that we modify the parameter : EM/initial_size_MB but they didn't recommend any value and said its customer specific.
my question is : what is the equation for setting this parameter correctly ?

and the parameter EM/initial_size_MB is set to : 59000

Hi,
We are currently working on a new internal request to establish a connection from our SAP Solution Manager 7.1 system on AIX to an external DB on iSeries (Version 5.4)
The AS400 team has confirmed there is not XDN Listener available on iSeries. So, after confirmation the QXDAEDRSQL service was started and active, the parameter dbs/db4/driver_type was set in Solman system to XDA (please see attachment) and a connection test was performed. Please check attached error. 
I was not able to find libdb400.a library anywhere so far. Seems there is not an available XDA for UNIX environments (just for Win and Linux according to note
"751451 - iSeries - XDA Database client for Windows and LinuxPPC")
Could you please confirm if it’s possible to establish a connection from SAP on AIX to an external DB on iSeries using XDA? We’re aware that XDN will available by installing a SAP Host Agent, but we would prefer avoid this if XDA is supported on the above described scenario.
